About
Software built from experience in the field.
NovakOS is a Canadian field service management platform for trades businesses. It exists because running a trade company usually means holding the day together across paperwork, phone calls, spreadsheets and separate apps that were never meant to talk to each other.
The office schedules the work. Technicians find out what changed by text. Quotes live in one place, invoices in another, job photos on someone's phone, and hours on a paper sheet at the end of the week. Nothing is wrong with any single piece — the cost is in re-entering the same information over and over, and in the details that fall between the pieces.
NovakOS is built so a customer, a job, a dispatch, a quote, the work done on site, the invoice and the payment stay attached to each other. What the technician records in the field is what the office sees, and what the customer receives.
Michael Novak
Founder, NovakOS
Michael is a Canadian HVAC technician. NovakOS is being developed from the perspective of someone who has done the work: driving to calls, diagnosing equipment, writing up what was found, quoting the repair and explaining it to a customer standing in their own basement.
That shapes the product. Field screens are built around what a technician actually needs to see and record on site. Office screens are built around dispatching real crews with real schedule changes. Decisions get made by asking whether it would hold up on a Tuesday afternoon in the field.

Principles
How we build NovakOS
Built for trades
Workflows are designed around real field-service businesses, not adapted from generic project management software.
Built in Canada
NovakOS is focused on Canadian trades companies first — Canadian dollars, Canadian time zones, Canadian working conventions.
Office and field together
Information should move naturally between dispatchers, technicians and customers instead of being re-entered at every step.
Practical before flashy
Reliability, clear records and workflows that hold up under a busy day come before visual novelty.
Where we are
Preparing for our first production rollout
The NovakOS web and desktop platform is nearing completion. Mobile development and field testing remain the active focus. We're currently connecting with Canadian trades companies interested in seeing NovakOS and potentially taking part in early real-world testing in the coming months.
